Take look on this tiny something. Its not a dots on finger but this is the world’s tiny fuel cell. It consist of hydrogen which is developed by chemical engineers at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Measures only in 3 mm across, but it will give your gadget an eco-friendly power and longer lasting. Its constructed of four components with a water reservoir and a chamber containing metal hydride that separated by a thin membrane with an assembly of electrodes that conduct electricity underneath. The tiny size could eliminate the pump, pressure sensor and controlling electronics which can make a power drain the fuel cells. This hydrogen fuel cell can generate 0.7 volts and a current of 0.1 milliamp for 30 hours in the first design but this new version already can deliver 1 milliamp at a similar voltage.
