Its the EC-03, new Zero-Emission Electric Scooter from Yamaha for Asia market. The reason why Yamaha choose Asia, it because scooters is one of their favorite vehicle and of course far more cheaper. This is Yamaha EC-03′s second coming after its first mass production last 2002 as Yamaha’s electric motorcycle debut and it has stopped in 2007 because of having a battery problem. For the EC-03 new performance, Yamaha has equipped this electronics scooters with Sanyo’s 50V lithium ion battery. This electric motorcycle could run 26.6 miles/hours with a single six-hour charge. Eventhough the design is not that quiet interesting as a future electric vehicle, but Yamaha EC-03 can be a perfect choice as next hybrid eco-friendly motorcycle because its promising give a zero emission. Yamaha has scheduled to sent out the EC-03 electric scooter around September at cost $2,800 a unit.
