The advent of the latest addition to Samsung’s family, Galaxy Nexus, has stolen headlines across the digital world. However, what remained a mystery was the price of the gadget in US. Europeans counterparts have already known how much and when Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus will cost them, but there was silence in the US until today when an insider revealed that the handheld will be sold for $289.99. The information was conveyed to Android Central in the form of a screenshot from Costco’s inventory. This confirms with the past traditions that Verizon usually set the opening price of $299 for most of its phones. However, no official information has been released yet by Google or Verizon. It is expected that there will be more reliable information about the pricing and exact release date of Galaxy Nexus in the US in the coming weeks, but at least there is now a rough estimation on how much one has to spend to get his or her hands on this gadget.
